Colin Firth - I truly believe he is one of the greatest actors of his generation! Every time I see any new film with him appearing he gets me wonder how far he can go when he's already there! He is superb in ''Then She Found Me'', ''A Single Man'', ''Dorian Gray'' and now in ''The King's Speech''! Well deserved Golden Globe and I can say with no doubt - Oscar! Bravo.

Helena Bonham Carter - I love this girl! Although it was kinda weird to see her playing quite normal part, she did a great job! Well done girl! Oh and that BAFTA speech cracked me up! Geoffrey Rush - Not a big fan, but he has my respect! He plays this lovable character Lionel Logue who teaches the King how to overcome a stammer. Loved how he balanced his jokes, seriousness and stubbornness.

Directing was very good, I noticed that right from the beginning. Tom Hooper - first time I actually hear about him and this guy is very talented! Art direction, sets - eye candy to me! The overarching drab colors and dark textures of Logue's house and the King's suit - beautiful! Score - nicely scored, but I thought at times that it could be a little more scored..Loved the ending music! Very well written, although it could be a little bit more...um...intense? I love how this movie tells how scared and helpless a powerful man can be. You can feel and see the King's pain in his eyes right from the very first scene he appears, how pathetic he looks and how fragile he is. And the support of his wife (Queen Elizabeth) is all to him. As the film develops, the complexities of the character reveals, his childhood issues with nanny, his brother (King Edward VIII) and the loss of his other brother. At the end when Bertie overcomes his doubts and fears you see courage and guts in his eyes. I think that the film is far more driven by characters than by story, which I loved, although the script is written in quite intelligent way. Cast is what makes this film look really good.

Recommend? - Yes! British film at its best!
